Entreprenuerial talent Unearthed

Last term Penshurst Girls was represented by two teams in the Unearthed Entreprenuers Competition including Lisa, Christine, Judy, Reyann, Lina and Eva. They worked with mentors from the Commonwealth Bank and Ernst & Young to create a proposal and the pitch the idea to a panel.

The team of Lisa, Judy and Christine pitched the idea for a safety bracelet,  a wristband that can be activated in an emergency, to help young women protect themselves against violence. After three phases the team was deemed to have the best idea from schools across Sydney.

Allegra Spender, CEO of ABCN, was on the Sydney judging panel. “The ProTech bracelet is a great idea, and we were particularly impressed with the pitch from the winning students, who developed their ideas with their mentors and delivered a confident pitch.”
